Cost Reduction and Regulatory Compliance. As a short-term goal, Finnair Flight Academy also needed to reduce overall costs by eliminating multiple platforms, reducing the need for helpdesk contacts and enabling 3rd party training delivery to its external customers and to partners throughout the whole Finnair Group.

“We used to have an array of tools and processes to create and deploy training. With one integrated solution, we are now able to create and maintain training solutions and records under the same LMS umbrella,” explained Salminen.
“This is very important given the fact that the aviation industry is highly regulated and the need for accurate training records is required by the authorities. In addition we are continuously seeking more efficient channels to deliver our online solutions for Finnair and external customers.”
